I cannot tell you how many times I have dealt with folks who ask "So why was I paying insurance premiums all those years?" Your insurance policies are very complex. The words in your policy are often specially defined and do not mean what you expect. You read the first page or two, known as the "Insuring Paragraph, and it looks like your policy will cover any of your expected problems. However, the next twenty pages contain Definitions, Exclusion, Terns and Conditions that limit your coverage. You are not always getting what you thought you paid for, but sometimes you insurance company is simply predisposed to say you have no coverage because they don't think you will fight them. Sometimes your insurance company will tell you that you filed a claim or requested representation too late when, in fact, you can successfully challenge them. Often the person making your coverage decision has little experience with coverage and is not an attorney. They simply want to say "No" because it is in the company's best interest. If you coverage has been denied, don't give up. I have about 30 years of experience with insurance coverage litigation and I will gladly evaluate your problem. There is no charge for a first conference.
